Today I want you to step wayyyy back and consider your calling as a business owner.
Here’s another Stef Gass quote to get us started: “There is another level. Ask God to show it to you – to tell you what it is, if you don’t know. Have a business meeting with God.”
Have you ever thought about bringing God into your decision-making process? Of asking Him whether you should launch that thing this month, or wait till next? Or if your current income cap is where you’re meant to stay – the sweet spot for your business – or if He’s got something else for you? More for you?
You should be asking these questions as an entrepreneur. A Christian entrepreneur, especially.
So I’m going to give you a little tutorial today, just so we’re on the same page.
Here’s a quick resource for you on this: a book called Memos from the Head Office, by Perry Marshall. Go get that, and you’ll be all set up on how to listen to your inner intuition (which we as Christians believe is God talking to us), but for your business.
Anyway. I want you to take whatever business problem, whatever future income issue or course launch is stressing you out right now, and find someplace to be silent. Alone. Just you and your own thoughts, and God.
Then frame your question so it’s an either/or, a yes/no. (It’s a lot harder to get “what do you want me to do next?” downloads than it is to find out if God approves of one specific option you had in mind.)
God, do you want me to launch a course on XYZ? (Your current niche).
God, do I need to raise my prices for the one-on-one coaching clients?
God, do you want me to pivot in this new direction? (The one you’ve been dancing around for months.)
And then quiet yourself, go silent, and jot down what IMMEDIATELY pops to mind.
Yes, launch a course? No, not now?
Keep your prices the same? Yes? (To raising them?)
Go for it, daughter? Or no, stay here?
That’s the kind of short, sweet, inner-intuition answer that’s going to bubble up for you.
Just write it down, and if you want, ask God for more.
Ask Him why. Ask Him when He wants you to do this. That sort of thing.
You can always get more, if you’re willing to ask. Because He wants a conversation with us.
So. If you’re feeling stuck in your calling. If you’re feeling capped as a business owner. I want you to ask God to break you through to the next level.
Craft your question, find some stillness, and ask & listen.
You’ll be surprised by what you get.
