Was this the version of #momlife you went for when you made the choice to stay home, and later on, when you added an online business?
I’m guessing it is.
And it goes something like this: getting up decently rested, not having to hurry through your morning routine. Going out into the living room and sitting in silence, savoring the stillness (and maybe the sunrise through your back windows). Sipping that first cup of coffee – so hot, so tasty – while your kids are still peacefully sleeping. Planning out what you’re going to do today – what you’ve got to look forward to – and maybe actually getting a jump on some of that since you have extra time.
And then when your kids wake up, watching their sleepy eyes come peeking around the corner in their various morning-perky or slow-sleepy states, savoring the precious children you get to have. That God gave you. That you get to be their mom. That you get to watch them do this. (Not rush them out the door to get everyone to school on time.)
And then you move in gratitude toward your day, and start checking things off. Getting people fed. Getting people dressed. Changing diapers, if you have them.
Still knowing, that you have all the time in the world to get everything done (and actually enjoy the minute-by-minute version of your day).
That’s what I want for you.
That’s what YOU want for you.
So why don’t you make it happen.
