Welcome back!
Today we’re talking about the biggest industry myth out there – ‘cause all they tell you is that you just need a better business strategy – theirs – and you’ll be good to go on your next MRR plateau.
Yeah, not quite. This is the classic “I just have to fix my business strategy or change to a new one and I’ll be good.
My success is assured this time” vs. “if I know exactly how many hours I’ve got this week and approximately how long each task takes, this is how long it’s going to take me to knock out the new promo I’m planning. So here’s the soonest I can launch it.”
Because it’s not about strategy at all.
It’s about taking action on that strategy.
And once you run your task management system this way, you’ve got the mindset part of “is this business going to scale” handled because you can see your own runway stretching out however many weeks or months ahead of you.
Which is great.
You’re not going to need all the worries and fusses and hours upon hours spent journaling, trying to uncover your money mindset block, because you’re just head down, focused on the next thing in front of you.
You’ve already picked it.
And when that promo’s done, you pick another project. And another. And it all comes together, without you having to stress over it.
(Now, this doesn’t remove the need for you to get strategic business advice in the first place – but once you have it, back off and just do it!)
Follow the plan and let that 90-120 day strategy work, while you get in the daily weeds of reaching out in the DMs to all your “ interested but didn’t get off the fence” people, planning your next email campaign, handing off the emails for said campaign to your VA, or laying out what you want graphics-wise for your next launch or following up with happy clients to get some great reviews for your program.
That’s you doing the work, not obsessing over it.
See the difference?
You’re not grousing over your launch strategy; you’re running it, leaning in, seeing what happens, and then evaluating the data to find out what changes to make next time.
Not throwing in the proverbial launch towel and saying, “well, that sucks; must need the next latest and greatest strategy, ‘cause email launching sure isn’t doing it for me.”
(Sub whatever main conversion strategy you’re using here – it certainly doesn’t have to be email launches.)
The point it, you’re picking 1 lead gen strategy and 1 client conversion pathway, and then you’re skipping all of the “should I pivot?” questions around it until you’ve given both these pieces a few solid months in testing.
No more “what should I be doing today,” no more course browsing, just head-down, firmly taking action on all the mini steps needed to put together that product launch campaign or send free samples to each one of your newsletter clickers.
(Or whatever you’re doing.)
You just majorly simplified your business day, week, and month as a work-at-home mom, because you no longer need to waste time hand-wringing whether your strategy is working or not, and constantly redoing your monthly task list, because it’s staying set.
Way to save on brain space while you’re chasing kids around the house in between client calls and filming sales stories!
So as you can see, it’s way simpler for your mom-the-CEO brain to just stick to 1 strategy at a time, lay out all the pieces for that one, and then just follow the plan for however long that takes.
Compared to redoing your overall strategy and business direction every other week; spending ages on the weekend or in the evening hunting for that next right course or the perfect mastermind that’s going to make all the difference to you; and showing up half-checked-out every single day in your no-kids work time block ‘cause you’re not sold on the client pathway you picked in the first place.
That’s the kind of chronic stress and brain fatigue this “pick 1 thing and do it” business strategy is saving you.
And it’s why I know you already have your “1 strategy I’m testing” now, which means you can get straight to the daily time management “working on my business” part.
Aka, closer to the “more deposits to my biz bank account” part now.
Sound good? Great.
Next up, let’s show you what really happened for one of my clients when she took her already-working-business and crazy home life and applied my 3-part framework to her work-at-home #momlife.
I can’t wait for you to hear what happened to her!
That’s all for now, and have a wonderful day.
Got q’s? See you in the DMs or on email or in a call!
What if you could run your work-at-home business, manage the kids and house, and get a break every single day – without being a bad mom? What if you had a mompreneur life you didn’t need a vacation from?
Here’s your working-from-home-with-kids solution: delegate 65% of your chores, set up a 3-item daily to-do list, and get 3 hours back for your business every day!
‘Cause guess what? You don’t need another time management program or productivity system as a work-from-home mom. What you need is a way to turn your daily mompreneur life around from crazy-busy hustle-with-kids mode to actually-like-my-life (and bring in money!) mode.
‘Cause hustle wasn’t meant to be normal. Not when you’re a mom with a business.
