Are you still living in discipline mode, forcing yourself to get it together, and constantly shaming yourself for not getting it right?
That stops now.
Because you’re not going to make it to your income goals (and still LIKE your own life!) if you don’t stop living under this “I can only use my own bootstraps” pressure.
Do you know WHY you can’t keep hoping to piece together a good-money-yet-plenty-of-time-for-parenting business on your own?
It’s because there’s always a good, hard look at YOUR personalized work/life balance behind that freedom.
It’s because you always have to pay something to learn something – even if you’re only paying hours and hours of your time.
You know this already.
- Did you spend the 2 or 4 years muddling through all the business strategies on your own?
- Or did you hire a business coach after a few months of flailing around so you could cut to the heart of what YOUR offer suite and YOUR lead gen strategies needed to be?
- When you’re learning a new marketing strategy, do you like to take 3 more courses (and actually spend the time it takes to work through them and submit everything), rework your sales page a bazillion times, do three or four failed launches, iterate your product or coaching services some more, and somehow magically keep your “I know this is going to work” mindset up? (I know I wouldn’t last that long!)
- Or would you rather pay a copywriter to look over those sales pages and launch assets, help you rewire everything in your business around GOOD copy, and go back to pulling in your people with a huge sigh of relief (plus that boost of aligned marketing)?
That choice is up to you – even in your “am I a present mom” vs. “will I hit my income goal this month” business owner issues.
(And I don’t know about you, but I’m willing to put aside my pride and learn from the experts after a few months of doing it on my own. ‘Cause I can see that my “by myself” results aren’t measuring up.)
And sometimes, your business blind spot is a little bit sneaky – ‘cause in my real life, I’m the words person. So being good at words and thinking that equals automatic great content AND great marketing copy (when that wasn’t actually the case), hampered my business for *years* until I swallowed my pride enough to bring me up to speed EVEN in an area of skill.
And no, it didn’t take me 3 weeks to learn how to rewrite my copy and my messaging and positioning and get it all good again. Think more like 3 *months*.
But that’s what I needed to do, and my lead gen wins started stretching *so much farther* once I surrendered to the “become a newbie” process again and relearned how to do words for marketing.
Even if it hurt a little.
You see, effectively what you’re doing is delegating a little money so you can have the business chops you need (in this particular copywriting or lead gen or client acquisition area).
Money *is* an effective way to delegate – as in, spend money here, gain skills required or messaging overhaul there – and you *can* choose to use this strategy as it’s available to you.
Because part of delegation – which is a key component of my work/life balance for biz moms program – is *understanding* when you need to let go of something, *not* do it yourself, and actually *ask* for help.
Which sometimes (okay, often!) applies to the strategy part. Whether you need Tiktok strategy, reels strategy, email marketing strategy, or daily “how to manage my time” strategy.
So if what you *really* need help with is doing less housework, or spending less time at work, or giving yourself *more* park outings with your toddlers, then it’s okay to say you need someone to tell you *how* to fit all of this in. Without overloading yourself even further.
Because it’s all there for you. You just have to decide you need a little extra help in this area, reach out, and get it.
Hey – do you WANT to spend five years making little bits of progress towards liking your mom life and getting enough time to play with the kids, then fitting in workouts and selfcare time another year, and maybe in year 3 or 4 getting to hang out with your husband instead of doing the dishes?
Or do you want grab an outside perspective on your daily schedule so that you can finally align your top-priority business goals with your natural rhythms and family life stage, work according to YOUR inborn tendencies, and digest the delegation frameworks so that you can love your hour-by-hour work-from-home life ever afterwards?
(Yeah, I’m picking the “hire the expert once and enjoy the benefits for years after” approach.)
You’re ALLOWED to spend money to save time. Collapse results. Get there faster.
(Especially when it’s going to cut so much overwhelm for you!)
I’m here for you, literally – because supporting *you* is my biggest goal in life. It’s my purpose.
And I want *you* to reach *your* purpose with the minimum number of wasted years possible.
All you have to do is hire the right help.
So make a list, right now – where would hiring an expert shortcut the process for you by months or years? Which categories of your mom life or business need that kind of boost?
Your next job is to do the research and find somebody for each of those areas. Just do it one at a time.
So which way are YOU picking?
