So here’s what I mean by this: Maybe you don’t know how your business is going to get off the ground, but you *do* know how to carve out hours for this startup phase.
Maybe you don’t know how you’re ever going to get 5 coaching clients at once – but you *do* know how to get 1 or 2 at a time.
Maybe you’re stuck at 4 or 5-thousand-dollar months, and you have no idea how to get 20-thousand-dollar ones – your current offers and audience just don’t make sense for how to scale to get there.
That’s okay.
It’s okay to only know what to do for your next season, and have a vision, but not know the in between.
Truly.
Look – think of it this way. I didn’t get to have a “purpose” in life beyond taking care of my family & kids till I was 31, but I started by getting married and having a family right away – because I knew that was at least part of my purpose and I could do it now.
I didn’t know what career path to take (I just knew a lot of them that I shouldn’t). I didn’t know what *my* special contribution to the world should be.
So I decided to just strike out on what I *did* know, which was getting married and having a family. Then raising those kids. Then homeschooling them.
And along the way, despite the angst of wanting an overarching purpose, and not having it, a few dreams came clear.
And a little farther down the way, I got the nudge to start pursuing them.
So if you’re listening to this, I want to congratulate you. You already know what your purpose is. You’re already running that business (or planning to).
The hardest part is feeling like you’re meant for something more, but having no idea where to start. Thinking God has maybe forgotten you when He handed out the life callings.
But He didn’t, and you have this. So run toward it. Run toward your next deadline – your next quarter – your next big business goal.
You don’t have to know the in-between stages between where you are now and the great, big vision He’s given you.
He’s got this.
