You know what I hate MOST about our stubborn tradition of New Year’s resolutions?
The shaming, should-ing, “why can’t you be better already” vibe of “total overhaul required” and “you better be all in” (or you’re a failure by February 1st).
Not on my watch.
In MY world, YOU get to pick the habit – attitude – CEO outlook that you’d like to add next to your life because it’d make you feel HAPPIER, not because you’d LOOK better to other people.
And then you just pick the TINIEST little habit, action, noticing about yourself that falls under that category, and add it to your day.
Just that.
And you’re already on your way to your new self (the one that confidently calls in waitlist clients or sells out launches without second-guessing herself), because this tiny snowball process WORKS.
As soon as you get used to a new level (of unblocked money mindset, or fractal line content), and feel totally comfortable IN it – you start unconsciously looking for the NEXT uplevel.
(You’re not going to get stuck in one stage of your nervous system rewiring here – or if you do, it’s because you had something huge and tumultuous going on in your family, and you didn’t have any emotional room LEFT! At least till that storm blows over.)
Like for me, I’ve got kids prepping for college – dual credit courses – learning difficulties to get over – and I’m STILL scaling my business.
It just means that sometimes my scaling move for the day looks like a visualization, not a new promo sequence, when I’m in the middle of a heavy learning challenge reset with one of my kids.
And that’s okay!
Tomorrow I’ll get back to the strategic, or for sure the next day.
‘Cause it’s happening every week.
Because it’s my PRIORITY.
So you can release the fear right now that you’re going to get partway on your goal of being the “of course” woman on $40k months, and just quit – you NEVER quit on true, aligned, comes-from-myself-not-those-around-me goals.
Which means you can relax into the process, forget about the timeline (it’s not yours to control anyway), and just let yourself take the next step in your money mindset rewiring when this current one feels SOLID and comfortable to you.
You’ve mastered it.
And soon enough, the NEXT ingrained pattern is going to appear, and you’ll be in the right frame to tackle IT.
Because you’re not following someone else’s 10-step plan; you’re following your OWN internal radar, and that gets you to the end state every. Single. Time.
(Yes, in a non-linear path. But faster and more thoroughly than the 10-step plan with its 6 things you DIDN’T need, and a way-too-shallow exploration of the areas you DID need.)
Always trust the process. The organic process, that is, not the boxed one.
Because that’s the way to ALWAYS know that everything your business needed from you this week got done – no matter WHAT’S happening with your family. (
And we’ll do this in my done-for-you program, when I help YOU take your time back.)
We just focus on scheduling. Only the priorities; not the should’s or ought-to’s.
Only what’s top of mind to YOUR brain, right now.
So.
Flip through your mental tabs. Find the one thing that you’re trying to change about yourself right now (that you WANT to change – not feel pressured to) – and tell me what it is.
Got it?
Great. Now we’re just going to ask your intuition, gently, what the next step in the process is – or if you should be moving on at all. Maybe you need to sit right here, doing the fear inventories about this just a little longer, before you’re ready to move on.
(Go on, see what your internal guidance system is telling you. Next phase, or stay here?)
And then give yourself permission to move up to the NEXT tiny building block of your $40k-month self, and to stay there as long as you need to.
There’s no prizes for racing through the journey ahead.
And if you race, you won’t integrate the shifts that MAKE you that “healed money” woman – it’s all just head knowledge.
So give yourself the space to fully sit with each stage of your excavation process, and just be grateful that you’re on the journey.
(‘Cause there was a past you who didn’t care what her money mindset was, and lived in scarcity, and you’re not her anymore.)
Now let’s bring this full circle, and pull in that New Year’s resolution list.
- How many are you crossing off right now, because you can see that they’re completely nonessential? Not sourced from self?
- Which ones are part of your current process, but way farther along? Need to be snoozed till you’re ready, not left on to pressure you?
- And what handful of goals – maybe even just one – are there on your list and just pulling at you – like you can’t take your eyes away from the page, ‘cause your words have that much power?
That’s the resolution – the ONLY resolution – you’re carrying forward with you. The only one you need to care about, the only thing you need to track. Did I do something under THIS goal today.
And if you did, you’re golden.
That’s the non-performative, non-pressure-y way to go about New Year’s resolutions this January.
Because you don’t have to keep scrambling to meet everyone else’s expectations of what THEY think you should be doing as a CEO mom.
