Are you in that place of just surviving, kind of hanging onto each day as it appears and getting through it as best as possible, but not really feeling like you’re conquering this whole motherhood thing?
Let me step back and give you some perspective in the moment – ‘cause I’m willing to bet you’re doing a lot better than you think.
And since this was something that just happened for one of my clients, it’s fresh in my mind. I’ll tell you what I told her.
You’re doing so well at adjusting to each moment – leaning into every day (on an hourly basis!), changing based on what your child needs right then.
You’re giving yourself grace for the morning that didn’t go well, while focusing on the present.
That is a huge change in you, and an amazing shift in your unbusy mindset, so I want to call that out for you. To let you see yourself as I see you – a woman who’s growing into this “I have all the time I need for what’s important” belief.
You’re doing great – better than you think. ‘Cause you’re not beating yourself up any more for those mornings that didn’t go according to plan.
You’re not resenting your child for taking up the time and space you intended to use on projects.
You’re just going with the flow.
And sometimes? In these seasons? That’s all that matters.
That’s the most zen way of getting through mom life right now.
And you’re doing it.
So don’t fuss that you haven’t got to this super-duper productive season yet.
Don’t worry that you’re not seemingly making progress on your life.
That progress is there, right under the surface.
It’s in your mindset.
And I can see a whole heck of a lot of change, right there.
Keep doing it.
