You’ve been locked in a holding pattern every month, waiting for that pregnancy test to come back positive.
And deep down, you’ve already pressed pause on your business.
You’re pulling back on your personal outreach to new clients.
You’re pushing off those launch plans.
(What if I’m throwing up sick 4 hours a day and can’t see clients? I can’t deliver on a launch like that! Never mind about filming content, either….)
Aka, you’re blowing up your “already working” reality NOW, for something that might happen 2 or 5 or even 10 months down the road.
That’s not a smart CEO decision. That’s flailing without a plan.
Your empowered CEO self says, “My top priority is getting pregnant, so I’m going to serve the clients I’ve already got and keep enrolling more – to build up cash reserves that cover maternity leave.”
That’s how you merge your day-to-day entrepreneurial to-do list with your heart-tugging “I want a baby” goal.
In fact, you can even supercharge this waiting season, and view it as “business nesting” prep….
Just give yourself 4 week deadlines, and see how much content you can batch, or how many mini challenges you can prep assets for, before you see that little plus or minus sign this month!
Used this way, your fertility deadlines are a spur to ever greater business productivity (which in turn boosts your bottom line), not an excuse to slack off ‘cause you might be nauseous in 4 weeks.
You see, it’s all about turning excuses into motivation.
Or life as usual into something that propels your dearest goal.
And run-of-the-mill client delivery into fodder for your next manifestation.
And when you do this – fully take back ownership of your schedule, your priorities, and your action items….
Suddenly, the waiting doesn’t seem so bad.
Your monthly cycle is no longer something to impatiently get through till the first allowable day to test.
Because your life isn’t on hold till that positive test – you’re actively building the monetary support you’ll need during the gestation process.
(Which is a huge nervous system regulator in and of itself.)
Since you can have the confidence that everything your business needs from you in this season is getting done – EVEN though you’re not at full capacity right now – because you’ve leaned on the power of scheduling.
Which is why inside my “get 20 hours a week back” program, I’m scheduling in your selfcare, your to-do list, AND your family priorities.
‘Cause they ALL need to fit.
With grace to flex in this waiting season.
- Maybe it’s not pregnancy for you, but some bloodwork numbers you’re trying to adjust.
- Maybe you’re marking the weeks till your cast comes off and you can ditch those crutches.
- Maybe it’s the emotional strain of waiting for that phone call about your hospitalized mother.
What happens if you view this semi-elastic waiting cycle as a silver-lining-style gift? What could you step back and evaluate, or lay the foundation for, or batch prep in advance….
….IF you gave yourself permission to do something OTHER than wait?
- Like, while I’m waiting for that next appointment with the specialist, I’ll batch 2 weeks’ worth of content.
- In between checkups, I’m going to overhaul my package rates and completely revamp my call calendar (so it’s all set for my lower-energy pregnant self).
- Or even though I’m on crutches, I can upgrade the message all over my website (so at least I feel good about ONE part of my life).
Find the “can’t move forward until this happens” spot where your action taking breaks down, and flip it.
Yes, you CAN do something to get ready for life after the cast is off, or after you don’t need to be on that special diet – and newsflash, you’re the only person stopping you.
Because you can hit your next 3 work goals AND be successful as a mom – even in this waiting process. You just need the right strategy. (And I’ve got it for you.)
DM me when you’re ready to close up shop each day, no matter where you are in this “temp” cycle, KNOWING you’ve got it covered as the mom and the high performer.
