I’m being interviewed by Introvert Learned Extrovert today!
Here’s a sneak peek….
“Why is it important for introverted moms to clear their schedule?“
My answer:
Because when we’ve got 10 zillion things going on in our day, there’s no way you can approach things from a zen perspective.
Not unless you’re a super saint!
And I’m sorry, but I’m not. I’ve got finite reserves of patience, and nothing sinks them faster than a run out of the house or a sudden schedule change.
(Messy floors or a three-way sibling fight don’t help either, of course!)
No, we need time built into our calendars, into our schedules, so that we can….
- get everything done that needs to be done
- have time to deal with everything that fell through the cracks (‘cause there’s always one more thing that needs to go on the grocery list, or a sudden bill to pay)
- and still have plenty of time built in for our own enjoyment
We need that refreshment that can only come from solid blocks of time devoted to our own amusement. Our own hobbies.
That’s what keeps us fresh.
What else we chatted about
Curious to hear what else we bonded over? Take a look….
How does someone become “unbusy”?
Who might benefit from becoming unbusy?
How does being unbusy tie into being an introvert?
Then we got nitty gritty…. How have you been able to balance being a mom and taking care of yourself as an introvert?
And…. If someone was just starting, what would be the three key steps you would recommend to them?
How does one get started in a morning routine?
And lastly…. How mom life can be easy with multiple kids!
Tune in to hear my answers on all of the above!
